Valentines Day is just around the corner and what better way to deliver our second Artist of the Week. You can certainly taste of a hint of sugar and spice but with a shot of whiskey-tinged whit. The 20-year old Kate Nash who still lives with her parents is my pick this week. It's no surprise that her straight-forward tales and heart-warming voice ascended her into the number one spot in Great Britian in the first week of her debut' album Made of Bricks release. She's smart, sarcastic, pretty darn cute and isn't afraid to offer dude-dissing tunes over sunny piano-pop.
While Lily Allen got knocked up and is one crazy bitch beyond belief and Amy Winehouse will sit and bask in all the grammys she won along with all the crack she is inhaling. Kate Nash remains sane (most importantly) and posseses redeeming qualities that seperate her from the rest of the young DIY female vocalist out there.
