50 Cent sues Taco Bell This is how it plays out, the fast food chain used his moniker in a hip-hop themed ad campaign without asking his permission or paying him a fee. In the lawsuit, "Fiddy" accuses the Bell of “diluting the value of his good name” when they encouraged the rapper to change his name to “79 Cent,” “89 Cent” or “99 Cent” in an open letter addressed to 50 and distributed to the press.
This is not all new, remember when Dr. Pepper penned that open letter to Axl Rose, offering free DP in exchange for Chinese Democracy, except that promotion seemed to make everybody happy. “As Taco Bell intended, many customers believed that 50 Cent had agreed to endorse Taco Bell’s products.
Indeed, postings on numerous Internet ‘blogs’ castigated 50 Cent for ’selling out’ by his apparent endorsement of Taco Bell,” the suit states. Yum! Brands has yet to comment.
"Fiddy" you make more money than all the employees at Taco Bell combined, can you just leave the poor people alone??
Date set for Conan O Briens take over of the Tonight ShowNBC continues to say that they want to keep Leno on their network, but Leno said the other day that he is done with NBC and will get a job elsewhere once his current gig ends. Leno is obviously not happy about being forced out of the Tonight Show gig to make room for Conan.

The Dark Knight breaks all sorts of records
Move over Spidey, The Dark Knight made $155.3 million dollars this past weekend to move into the biggest opening weekend ever.
The Dark Knight broke the all-time opening weekend box office record and drove the overall North American marketplace to the largest frame in history with moviegoers dumping over $250M into theater cash registers over three days.
TDK set all sorts of records starting for the highest dollar amount for Thursday-midnight showings topping 2005's Stars Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith $16.9 million with a record of it's own at $18.5 million. The movie also had the biggest one day Friday sales ever at $67.9 million. Also viewers lined up selling out just about every IMAX showing for a total amount of $6.2 million dollars. One person even bought a ticket on ebay for $87 for a Friday showing.
With the addition of extremely positive reviews and word-of-mouth opinion, the next thing people are wondering if it could topple Titanic's "Titanic" earnings of $600 million dollars to be called the biggest blockbuster of all time.
Who says super hero movies ain't cool.
Some quick E3 stuff like Bungie's new project and Wii Speak picsFirst off Bungie will indeed be working on a new project that is not entitled Halo Wars.
It's obvious that this was the bullet left in the chamber in case Sony blasted back yesterday with something huge, when they didn't the big reveal seemingly went to the back burner.
Also Wii peeps say hello to Wii Speak.
Sadly there is still no solution to the storage problem. Upside?
The Wii finally has a voice chat solution. As most of you may have heard by now, Nintendo recently announced Wii Speak, a new way to converse with your friends as you play online. The first game to use the feature? That my furry friend is Animal Crossing: City Folk.
Here are some titillating pictures:

PS3 HUB addresses system's entertainment connection shortcomings
The device will feature:
The ability to connect 3 additional USB devices, such as flash drives, PSP, MP3 players and controllers.
Also it easily snaps onto the console to match the color and contour of the PS3 without making it look out place.
Word on the street has it will be compatible with 20, 40, 60, and 80GB PS3 consoles.
Will be powered by the PS3's voltage so no additional batteries or wiring.
The last ingredient is that it will work with the system in vertical or horizontal position.
Booyah!
Rock Band 2 details, New Xbox 360 model and extended Dark Knight trailerA new SKU for the 360 wouldn't surprise me. There is even a chance of a $50 drop in price on the 20 gig as they try to sell off any remaining inventory. No word on whether or not the rumored 60 gig model will get that $299 price tag. Don't be surprised if the news becomes official at E3. As of now it is just a 'rumor'.
Good news if you spent half of your allowance on Rock Band DLC as all your songs will be totally transferable to Rock Band 2.
There will supposedly be more variety of instrument choices than ever before with new and improved drum and guitar peripherals, enhanced functionality and innovative new designs, and best of all, fully compatible with the original Rock Band instruments.
The game will be released for Xbox 360 in September, then it will hit PS2, PS3 and Wii later this year.
One final thing. The hype continues for July 18th as the Dark Knight gets closer and closer. The movie according to Fandago.com is already the biggest ticket pusher for pre-sales topping Iron Man, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Sex and the City.
Domino's Pizza has launched their "Dark Knight Vault" which now features an extended edition of the movie trailer. The extended trailer includes new footage. Check out the site here.
Bear in mind you would have had to make some type of purchase from them in the last 48 hours.

New Artist of the Week, Obama Girl, Street Fighter IV and Michael Bay will write Transformers 2Anyhow we of course have Artist of the Week part deux for this week so go and check it out and get some musical sampling in your system (I mean that literally).
Final note it turns out Michael Bay with this whole Writer's Strike coming to a halt has penned the story for Transformers 2. Bay revealed that "We've got our characters all designed. I always write all my scripts, my movies anyway so at least I've got something to give the writers. It's like a template. We have a really good outline so I worked on that." I guess that means more Megan Fox right? What's up with girls in this post today???
